I was nervous about 50 miles, but I am flat out scared about 150 miles! I have never ridden over 30 miles at a time. My QT50 has a top speed of around 28mph, am I going to drag behind, I brought my Passport also which will go 45+, which should I ride? I am very excited, I have never met anyone who rides mopeds or scooters, they are shunned where I am from.

We're like the Marines ... No Moped Rider gets left behind! (unless of course Smitty gets lost again, he'll find his way back, LOL!!!).

There will be a few average Mopeds, and we have total respect and admiration for those who ride speed challenged 'peds ;^)

We did consider "stock" Mopeds when we planned this route. We even ommited part of the initial planned route, as even the Baby STA 'ped couldn't handle the mountain climbing.

We'd actually at one point discussed the possibility of putting the slowest Mopeds up front of the pack, in order to better pace the entire group.

Two things we'll need to address: a support vehicle and a "sweeper". I get nominated most of the time as the "sweeper" ... but looks like there'll be plenty of Scooters that can handle the job, so that I can stay up front to lead the Ride route.

You better hope Smitty doesn't take us by any place where a lot of pit bulls are running loose. On the first MM ride I was on a stock Tomos Sprint going up steep incline when about 10 pit bulls came after me. By pedaling like hell to help the engine I barely got away from them.

We did actually have a couple of dogs dart out at us the other day, but I think the mere crowd of us should scare them off.

Art', we're sure gonna' miss ya' at this Ride!!! Like Bryan said, we'll see ya' next year at the Tail of the Dragon Ride.

hey...we are here!!! A bike almost fell off the trailer in East St.Louis but the outstanding driving skills of Eggs Benedict prevented a disaster. Can't wait till tomorrow.

This is just too cool!!! 15 of us had dinner together tonight, then Bryan and Jeanie pulled-in, AND 7 Members of the Breakfast Mafia also made into town tonight. More Riders should be arriving in the morning!
Great to see all of our friends who've made it, and it's always a pleasure to make new friends as well.

I heard something tonight that really disturbs me, and I'd like to clarify something:
Tonight I heard that I "forbid" certain people from attending this Ride. This is an outright lie! I've extended an invitation out to everyone in the Moped Riding community, including BOTH the MRA and the Moped Army as well, and non-members I have NOT requested that anyone not attend this Ride ... so those who are once again telling their made-up lies about me, are not attending this Ride by their own choice, not mine. I did not send out many personal invitations, as I felt there was no need to do so. But I thought that I had made it clear that this Ride was open to ALL who want to attend, and have not barred anyone! We all expect everyone to conduct themselves in a mature and responsible manner ... so if you couldn't do that, then you didn't need to attend this ride anyway.

Anyway, we're all excited and very much looking forward to an excellent Ride tomorrow!!! This should prove to be an outstanding Ride ;^)
Those who are missing it, it's your own fault, not mine.

27 Mopeds, and over 30 people!!! What an awesome time! The crowd made this Ride. Everyone expressed how pleased they were with the route, especially the last leg that only 8 of us completed.
Despite a few break-downs, mad-dash back to the shop by 4 of us, and then catching back up to the group at Cherokee Dam, it still turned-out to be a fantastic day.

A HUGE thanks to ALL who attended and made this an absolute wonderful Ride, and really made Lisa and I both feel really good!

Special THANKS to the Breakfast Mafia for attending, and an especially large thanks to punkrockgirl for driving support vehicle! Pure dedication by these guys and gals to attend.

Also a special thanks to JD, for suggesting that we extend the original 50 mile Ride, which allowed us to add even more great riding today ;^)
Thanks to Mrs Smitty and Nightflight for setting-up breakfast this morning for us all as well!

Actually, Lisa and I can't thank each individual who attended enough. You guys and gals MADE this Ride the success that it was today, and we thank You ALL from the bottom of our hearts!

For those who didn't make it today, we really missed having you here ... wish you could have made it, because you yet again, missed an awesome time!!!

We did radar runs, and will post the results probably tomorrow. We also have pics and video, and will work on posting them, again, probably tomorrow.

It was a great ride! Hot. but still a lot of fun. A grand meeting of old friends and made some new ones with the Breakfast Mafia. Everyone had a good ride and lots of fun. Thank You. Smitty and Mrs Smitty for an outstanding ride.

What a great ride and time. It was great seeing this wonderful group of people again and meeting new ones! I was dissapointed that Art couldn't make it but I certainly understand.

Art...you made a very smart decision on not comming. It was soooooo very hot. I hope to see you at Kevin's ride and the ones next year.
