I have been working on my 2003 Tomos Sprint to get it ready for the Dragon ride.
I went to replace the rear brake cable with a new one that I had purchased from mopedwarehouse several months ago, and I just now found out it is way too long and won't work with on my moped.
My old brake cable is so worn and torn down at the end from initially not using a fourth-hand tool that I am unable to refit it through the holding nut.

Could I just purchase a bicycle brake cable?
I don't think it would be as strong and safe?

I have genuine Tomos rear brake cables for your Sprint. I can bring one with me to the Tail of the Dragon ride if you still need it ?

Day late. buck short here but I don't understand how a brake cable can be too long. Couldn't you just cut it?

Tomos brakes have so much meat on them that you can run the bar adjusters all the way out 3 times and take it in at the arm till the nut hits the brake panel.

THEN you can flip the pinch bolt and get another few thousand grabs before you've got grooves worn in from the cam so bad they just stick
