I was lucky enough to find a Magnum to rebuild. I am putting it back to stock so no blasting for me. I thought I would post some pics of the progress and how it is coming. Any insight would be helpful. The first pictures are how I recived it and then I had to start finding and gathering parts.

Thanks guys,
No new chrome, just a BUNCH of elbow grease. Got a new phone with more mega pixel camera so the chrome looks better.

That's awesome. So if I get a new phone, the chrome on my '99 Tomos Classic will look better? Wink

Nice job! Now you just need to find some plastic switch bases, a non-rusty gas cap, and some nice chain guards and it'll be complete.

Thanks Lar,
I have one switch base and going to buy the other off Ebay. I have the chain covers, just need cleaned and installed. The gas cap is going in vinegar for a week and if that does not work, it is getting painted. The problem I am having is the under the tank covers. Seems like nobody runs them but nobody has them for sale....like they all vanished.

Very nice work! I can appreciate the amount of time and effort you have in that unit.

I'm looking for a Magnum myself - but am currently in the middle of Motron restoration which is turning out rather nicely . Still, I would like a Puch (Magnum) if possible. What would you say the going price of a basket case or non-running original should be? The seem to be pretty scarce at present.
