Hello, I cleaned the original gas cap.... I just spent $129 for the mechanic to look over my NU50 and adjust everything. I really trust this guy. But after 4 miles from his shop, my NU50 (300 miles on it) stalled again. The mechanic suggested running my moped on the reserve setting. because the gas flows better. I open the gas cap, close it up, and usually starts back up pretty quickly with the kick start. Im not sure if it is the gas cap, or if I should replace it. My moped continues to stall like this every 3 miles on every trip. Can you please offer some suggestions, how to solve this stalling. thanks shelly |

Sounds like you are drawing a vacuum. Check the cap and look for a vent hole and ream it out with some wire. Crap in the tank maybe needs to be completely drained and petcock unclogged also. _________________ John

Thanks john,
I ordered a new original gas cap from ebay. I will drain the fluids and clean out gas tank/filter and will see how it runs. |
