Here is me and three of my "bald" buddies, Kelley, Jerry and Tim down on the Blue Ridge Parkway last July. I thought this shot was very fitting lol.

We rode Scooters on the Tail of the Dragon, Road to Nowhere and on the Parkway. Although I have ridden a moped down there several times and now a Scooter, I have to give in to the fact that the Scooter is much more fun in the mountains.

My three buddies all rode Chinese Scooters that they paid $499.00 for in the crate, out the door! This will be the third season for those bikes and they still perform as well as the Tomos I was riding. They all have over 3,000 miles on them now.

I love riding in the Smoky Mountain area. Hope to get down there again this year.

Ike you should post some pics of the rides all would enjoy them. What kind of scooters (brand) can you buy and put 3K on them and not have it break?? Wardie

Here we are at the Road to nowhere. The yellow Scoot is the Tomos. The other three are the $499.00 150cc.

Well worth $499.00 out the door, whatever brand they are? 150cc GY6 is all I know

Several of us will be riding in the Bryson City area the first week of June. If anybody is interested, contact me for details. We have found a couple of good roads that we haven't ridden on before.

Those same Chinese 150 scoots are for sale in Atlanta for $500. They are badeged Gator 150. Have also seen one with Wildfire 150 decals.

Will that be your "retirement celebration" ride??? Would love to come down for the ride, but as usual, can`t guarantee anything.

Looks like it was a fun trip. Cripes $500? I can't get much on my BMW motorcycle for $500 let alone a bike/scooter. Those people in China must make 50 cents an hour...come to think of it that's where we're all headed too. Oh stop the politiucal rank before...

nice trip will keep up with the posts and see if any rides come out of this.

Now, im really going to piss some people off.

There is no way i would spend $2,000.00 to $3,000.00 for a chinese or Taiwanese scooter when i can buy one that looks just as good, runs just as good and has many many parts that came from the same factory as the parts on the 3,000.00 scooter for $500.00 to $600.00! And thats for a 150cc!
I wouldn`t say that if i han`t seen 5 of them go trouble free for three years and over 3000 miles.

Thats my story, and i`m sticking to it.
