2009 Tomos Velo 150....Any good?

Postby mopedlar » Mon Apr 01, 2013 9:53 am

I might be going to look at a 2009 Tomos Velo 150 for a friend of mine. It has 1,700 miles and appears to be in nice shape. Anything to look for on this particular bike? The Seller is asking $1,500 which is considerably higher than the KBB Dealer value of $1,130. What's a fair price? Thanks!

Well, this Velo is out. According to Bryan, the price is ridiculous for a used Velo. If anyone knows of any new Velos out there, let me know. I have a friend who would love to have a new one.

Also look at the Aprilia Mojito or Honda Joker as an alternate. Similar if not the same bikes out of China.

The Lance Havana Classic 125 is similar . . 12" front wheel, flat floorboard, scooter-type handlebars.

One basket option.

Lance is the same outfit as Alliance Powersports, which is now distributing SYM in the U.S. That's probably a good sign for parts and service availability.

I wouldn't have considered one before. Now, I might (if I'm ever in the market again.)
