Heeters

Extreme Scooters may also be a potential resource, but does NOT accept credit cards.

Perhaps Aaron will provide links to some other shippers?

A 263 lb. 50cc class scooter?

That's about 25 lbs. heavier than my 125cc Genuine Buddy.

It weighs as much as my 49cc Tomos Classic and me...TOGETHER.

So if I plunk down my 160 lbs. on this Twister, it's going to have to haul 425 lbs. around in total. With 49cc. Ya gotta be kidding me.

Wonder what they were thinking.

I would not stock one because it couldn't pull the hills here. They would be nice in Florida. The Sym China scoots are well made. Poor warranty and overpriced.

JD, my sentiments exactly. As big as it is, I was expecting it to be at least 150cc.

Kymco has almost the identical scooter in their lineup, People 50cc, 16 inch wheels.

I always really liked the look of the People, hence I like the look of the TWIST. The People 50 has been discontinued in the U.S. but, still, it weighs only about 210 lbs., 50 lbs. fewer than the TWIST.

Kymco's also got a People One 125cc (not available in the U.S.) that weighs only 250 lbs! The People S 200cc weighs 270 lbs., about equal to the TWIST with a gallon of milk under the seat.

What the hell is in that bike that makes it so heavy? Maybe it's liquid cooled? Or just poorly engineered? That doesn't seem likely from SYM. I'll bet that it was designed for, and has, a larger engine in other markets. But maybe Tomos specified a 50cc version (or, maybe that's all SYM would let them have) for our market.

JD, remember my Sym HD125. Its weight was 302lbs. It would get up to speed fast and go 72mph on the speedo. It was more like 60-64 real speed. It was water cooled. Ran great just to top heavy for me.
Sym gets their motors to crank out the HP making up for the weight.

Rena's 250 LC Kymco Bet and Win drops in at about 370 pounds dry. Agile and not top heavy, or I would hear about it.

Paul at tomosscooter.com is a good dealer. M&M Motorsports in Kansas City is our newest high volume dealer. As bad as our current website is, it has dealers listed with correct information.........Yes, facebook is proving to be a great success. AND I just contracted with a new web design firm to begin the production of a new website. It will start off simple but clean. I will continue to develop it as more and more people buy our Twisters...LOL. By the way, I have yet to hear a bad review from ANY customer that has purchased and riden one In fact, this post was interrupted by Dave at Blackbeard (Michigan) He bought his first set of them and loves them.."Great Bike!", he said. He sold one shortly after he rolled it out on the floor. (if you are thinking I am telling less than the truth....CALL HIM...Yes, the bike comes in a 125cc and we are in the process of getting it approved for sale here in the US.

I know Dave at Blackbeard Powersports in Clinton Township. Good guy. He carries a huge variety of bikes and has a good feel for the market. A "thumbs up" from him is a good sign.

If the Twist 125 had been available two years ago, I might have two of them instead of the Buddys. Or maybe one of each.

Any projected pricing on the 125?

No projected pricing yet.....It is too early to tell and even though I have an educated guess......I could be wrong. I can say, however that it will be priced well enough that I know I will be able to sell them.....lots of them. Thanks for the feedback....I do appreciate it!
