Is the fuel tap on a vespa et-2 a common recurring problem?

Unfortunately, there is not a lot of Vespa-related activity on this website, so you may not get a good answer here. I'm sure there are many Vespa-related websites out there where you can get a better answer.

There is a forum called "Modern Vespa" which probably would be able to answer anything related to the Vespa marque. That petcock I believe is vacuum operated from the motor, check your rubber hoses for cracks and splits that allow air into the system.

I solved My fuel tap problem by installing a manual shutoff from motorcycle superstore.
