My Gyro is an 84. I have genuine Honda service manual. It says the same thing.
I have cleaned the carb, the tank, the petcock, installed all new fuel lines and checked the timing. The timing is dead on.
Guess I am going to have to get a new CDI.

Thanks,
Ike

Well, I decided to take the carb back off one more time , bad as i hate that job, and cleaned it right this time!
And I am happy to report she runs like a top now!

As for handling, I am not too sure? The 85 and 86 Gyros have much fatter tires on the rear and I am sure they handle better than the 84`s do.

I do know one thing, you never want to get Armorall anywhere near the tires on a Gyro. One time I cleaned my Gyro top and bottom including Armorall on the sidewalls. I do know better than to get Armorall on the tread on any bike , but that day I got careless and almost paid the price.
After shining everything for an hour I decided to jump on and take a little cruise around the block. I had the hammer down and when I hit the first curve, the Gyro "spun out" like a race car! Did a 180!! I still can`t believe I didn`t wipe out bad that time.

Gyros are fun though.

No, no, no. The correct term is "recreational vehicles." ;-)

The Gyro reminds me of those electric scoots they have in the grocery store for obese old women to ride.

I had an old woman run over my toes with one of those electric carts in Walmart a couple of years ago. It hurt like h*ll. When I got home and took off my shoe I discovered that blood had come out from under my toenail and a few weks later my toenail fell off. I know now why they made us wear steel toed shoes when I worked in the mining industry.

They had obese old women in the mines? Must have been hell for the mine owners to comply with ADA for them.
