Is it worth getting running again?
if you do the work yourself yes ,if you take it to a shop maybe not
depending on what you paid for the scooter and whats wrong.
manuals ? just get a generic 2 cycle manual
parts? they are everywhere , i sell them and so do other guys here

I will put pix's up when I get back in town. I work offshore and am leaving in the morning. Thinking I will need a big bore kit or something. Go it up and running today. Smokes!!! Big time!!! But runs. Pulled spark plug and cranked over, oil came out spark plug and muffler. It just runs out the muffler. I think this scoot is about a 1984 or so. Title says 1989 for both of the bikes I aquired from a friend. The other bike is a Honda tact which seems to be very close to the Honda Aero. I think it will just need a carb cleaning. Starts when I spray gas in the carb. Will get to that when I get home. But I did remove the carb to take offshore with me so I can go thru it.

Vin number on the registration is ca11a331183. Now would that not make it a 1983? Even tho the reg says 1989?

That's what it looks like. Do you know if any of the engine parts are the same? I may need to look for a jug and piston.

not having the chance to work on one(so many scooters--so little time)
i'm not sure about the motor type.
it maybe a minareilli or like some other newer suzuki's a morini
they are a bit different motors
the morini is what i call the improved minareilli .
when you get the chance remove the cylinder & piston
post a picture or some measurement or better yet both and we
can point you in the right direction.
or you could buy from some place like bike bandit they ask
more for the genuine suzuki parts

Thanks, will take it apart when I get back from offshore working next week. Need to check the compression etc Been thinking, I wonder if something could be wrong with the oiling system. This scooter started up way to easy for not having been run in a few years. This is also the scooter that was taken half apart trying to find a problem from the womans husband. I'm thinking that he started to take apart because of it smoking so much. When I cranked it over with the spark plug removed to check for spark before I started it, It slung oil all over out of the spark plug hole. Put the plug back in used my hand over the carb and it started right up. Reved up and all. But a big cloud of smoke that never cleared after running for ten minutes.
I will get in touch with you when I figure what parts it needs. thanks

the smoke thing is good ,it says that there is oil going into the
motor. depending where th oil goes eg; into the carb or into the intake or
even the case or a combination of them.

many scooters will smoke heavily when they've sat for a while , like
over a winter, generally it will clear up after a bit.
some scooters have a oiler that you can adjust others you can't
if it is adjustable it may be over oiling and that puts extra oil in the muffler
making it smoke lots too.
spewing oil out the plug hole says oil is leaking in from the
oil valve on the carb or intake, & or its a over oiling pump.
it also is spewing out the exhaust into the header &muffler
none of that is real serious you can even disable the pump and
premix if needed.
also you can check out ebay maybe you can find a service manual.

the fact that the engine runs means its getting at least 90psi, pull the head/cylinder and check the bottom piston ring to see if its stuck.
Some people dream about speed! blink and im gone!

Thanks for the input guys. I was thinking about checking the oiling system when I get back. I think it might just be getting over oiled. But we will see. thanks for all your input.
